Chicago

Mike and I were able to chaperone a trip to Chicago this weekend with our good friends. It was a lot of fun! We visited the Science and Industry Museum, Navy Pier and Lincoln Zoo. We rode on a charter bus, ate yummy Chicago food and popcorn, played Euchre and enjoyed our short time away...even if it was with 80-90 teenagers.

Our friends got in trouble and had to put their heads down on the desk;)

We were laughing at them and got in trouble too=(...Kidding! We were playing a mind game where you try and relax your brain. A band on your forehead monitors your brain activity and if you are not relaxed a ball is drawn toward you. Let me just say, telling yourself to relax does not work! I lost to Mike and Corie lost to Nick. Oh to be able to turn your mind off like a man and not think!;)

We enjoyed the museum so much. Mike LOVED reading about all the history. This guy could watch the History Channel all day! I felt bad for having to rush him through some of the exhibits (time would not allow us to read every sign or watch every clip;)) and bought him a DVD about the U-505 submarine. I promise...I will take you back babe!=)

At the Lincoln Park Zoo, you are just feet away from the lion and tiger. It is quite scary to think how close you are and that only really thick wires seperate you...especially when the lion is chewing on a bloddy bone and the bone is cracking! Ewwww!

I loved watching this mommy with her baby. She even tried to lay her baby down for a nap once. The baby wouldn't lay down=)
