Tis the Season!

We love Christmas time around our house and this year it has been even more fun!

Every Friday night (or Saturday, if we have other commitments on Friday) we have our traditional homemade pizza, treats, and watch a Christmas movie. So far, we have seen The Santa Clause, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Miracle on 34th Street! We all look forward to this time!

We have gone to the library for storytime and crafts! The kids have enjoyed making ornaments there and listening to Christmas stories!

Of course, we have decorated the house and play a lot of Christmas music!

The kids Christmas tree upstairs! Notice all the decorations are at the bottom! Gotta love it!!

Last weekend, we were able to go with family to the zoo for Christmas at the Zoo! What a fun event! The kids loved it and Papa and Nana were even able to meet us! They purchased tickets for a train ride too, which is the first time we have ever done that! As it got dark, the zoo was so magical. Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Nehring for letting all of us Nehring's take the big van. It is more fun to travel with cousins!

We even had a visit from St. Nikolaus last night, which is a really fun German tradition. The kids put out their shoes and were surprised to wake up this morning to find they were filled with candy! St. Nikolaus will be visiting Emerson's classroom on Friday as well! Dad pulled some German strings and got him to visit after the German students present Christmas in Germany to Emerson's class!

I love their sleepy little faces in the morning!

More fun to come this month!

Yay for cousins! And for St. Nikolaus. Can he come to our house too? :)
