Myrtle Beach Part 1

We went to Myrtle Beach with Uncle Richard, Aunt Lindsey, Brady and Uncle Kyle. We enjoyed seeing the beach and had a great time. We wish we would have felt better though. We all caught a cold while down there and three of the kids got sick in the car while driving.
We left last Saturday and drove to Atlanta to visit with Grandpa and Grandma (Rod and Michelle). Grandpa had a friend down there that had been on dialysis for a while and needed a kidney. Grandpa ended up being a match and they flew down last week for the operation. What a wonderful experience it was to meet Lonnie and his family. We went to church with them on Sunday and enjoyed visiting with their congregation. They were very hospitable and made Grandpa and Grandma's and our stay in Atlanta wonderful.
Sunday we completed our drive to Myrtle Beach, another 6 hours. We enjoyed being on the beach, swimming in the pools, going down the waterslides and watching shows on the t.v. (we don't have cable)! We ate at Fuddruckers...who knew it would be so good! Probably the best hamburger place we have ever eaten at! And the guys tried a little Boogie Boarding...brrr!
Thursday we headed back to Atlanta to see Grandpa and Grandma and eat dinner with Lonnie and his family and then it was back to Indiana on Friday. We enjoyed being with family and seeing the ocean. Mike and I were able to watch the sunrise one morning while we sipped hot chocolate and ate pastries. It was definitely one of the highlights of the trip!
Now, we just need a vacation from our vacation=)
