Temple Trip

We had a wonderful trip to the Louisville Temple this week. Our friends, Josh and Elaine, went through the temple for the first time Thursday night and were sealed together on Friday morning. We wanted to be there for both days and thought that we would make a trip out of it. So, our family and our brother, sister, and nephew (Richard, Lindsey and Brady) traveled down to Louisville Thursday afternoon. We got a really nice hotel suite and stayed there overnight. It was so much fun! We went swimming, had dinner, went to the temple, stayed up late talking, went to the temple again, went swimming some more, and then finished our trip with some bowling! We had such a great time and enjoyed spending it with our family! Mike's mom was even able to come down on Friday and we visited with her and had lunch. She helped watch the kids while all of us were in the temple.
What a blessing the temple is in our life! We enjoy being able to return and be reminded of the covenants and blessings that we make and receive as Saints. We were so honored to be able to go through the temple with Josh and Elaine and are so proud of their faithfulness! We know that if they remain faithful, and continue to attend the temple, they will be so blessed!!! We are so grateful to be sealed as a family and for the knowledge that we have that we will be together forever. And...I am so grateful to have a wonderful husband, who honors his priesthood and leads our family in righteousness. We love you so much Schatz!
We are also grateful to have the extended family that we have! We have had the opportunity to live close to 2 of Mike's brothers and their families and have enjoyed the time we have had getting to know them. We wish we could live closer to all of them all of the time, but will enjoy what time we do have with them. Our families (and friends) are so important to us and we are so grateful for each of them. We are looking forward to Amber, Adam, Mary and Nathaniel visiting in a little over a week and then heading down to Albuquerque in July. What memories we are making=)
