Thanksgiving and More!

We have had a wonderful couple of weeks. We were able to go down to the Louisville temple the weekend before Thanksgiving. It is always wonderful to go, but this time was very special. We were able to go with our friends the Shaws for their first time in the temple!
The following week was our week to have preschool at our house. The kids were so much fun and we did a lot of fun things. On Wednesday, we made turkeys so that each kid could put one on their tables for the holiday. They turned out really cute.
Thanksgiving day, Mike went and played in the Turkey Bowl (football). He was in charge of organizing it and they had 50-60 people show up. It was a huge success, but he sure was sore the rest of the weekend. Later, after the game, we went over to Mike's parents for a wonderful dinner. My parents drove down to have dinner with us, as did Mike's brother Richard and his wife Lindsey and our friends the Pendletons. What a fun Thanksgiving...now we try to work off all the good food we ate!
Friday we cleaned the chapel and then had our friends the Christensen's over for homeade pizza. Friday night is our homeade pizza night and it was fun to share our tradition.
Saturday we drove up to Coatesville and visited my grandparents. We hadn't been out there in a long time and it was good to see them. Then we headed into Plainfield to see all the things that my parents have been doing to there house. Papa got a 52" flat screen tv. And...seeing how it was Saturday (college football day), you know where Mike was during our visit=) The kids sure enjoyed watching Kung Fu Panda on the big screen. Thanks Mom for visiting with me and Hailey!!=)
We are so grateful for our family and friends and the blessings that they are in our lives. We have been so blessed, wherever we have lived, to have some very special people in our lives!
