It is February already!

January sure did fly by. I couldnt sleep this morning. So, I thought that I would update our blog and send a few emails. School was canceled today, so Mike is going to be home today. That will be fun and a rare treat for the family! Our friends, the Williams (who both teach as well and live right around the corner), made soup last night for a soup contest at school and since school was canceled...we get to help them consume it=) A good day for soup!
Emerson and Jakob have been especially cute lately. They are starting to really play with each other. They will go into the playroom and play for 20-30 minutes at a time. I will listen to them talk to one another and it just melts my heart. Emerson will say, "Jakob put the car over there, okay?" and Jakob will respond by saying, "Kay!" Emerson is always telling us that Jakob is his best friend and I believe it.
Jakob is our entertainer. We will turn music on and he will run in circles, swinging one of his arms back and forth. He walks and runs just like his Daddy, with purpose and intent. He loves Elmo! Everytime we put in a movie, he will yell Elmo. If it isn't Elmo, Emerson will let him know, "Jakob, it isnt Elmo, stop saying that!"
These boys are our life and we love them so much. Yeah, some days they drive us nuts too...but we wouldn't have it any other way!
Yesterday, we went to the Kids Commons Museum and met some friends there. YEAH FOR GETTING OUT OF THE HOUSE (we are a one vehicle family right now, which makes outings few and far between). Then, we went to lunch with our friends Sara, Ashton, and Wyatt. Emerson loves hanging out with Ashton and we dont get to do that quite enough.
We are excited for February and will be sure to post photos later. I just need to stop saying that and do it!
