Uncle Richard's Visit!

Emerson and Jakob's Uncle Richard (Mike's brother) came to visit from Utah this weekend. What an eventful weekend it was.

On Friday we all headed up to the airport to pick Richard up and then were planning on going to the CN vs. Pike football game. Well, on the way to the airport Jakob threw up all over the van. So, we stopped and cleaned everything out and bought Jakob a new outfit and then were on our way again. Not 10 minutes down the road Jakob threw up again this time all over Mommy. So, we and the van smelled wonderful! We decided not to stop, went and got Richard and then drove back to Columbus (missing the game at Pike). Jakob threw up 5 more times that night and eventually passed out from exhaustion.

Richard and Grandpa gave Jakob a blessing that night, but before they did so...Emerson ran in the room laid his hands on Jakob's head and said Heavenly Father, (the middle part was inaudible), in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen. It was so cute!

Saturday Jakob seemed to be feeling better. So, we took Richard out to our house and then went out to the Clark's (a family in our ward) for an afternoon on their lake. What a wonderful time we had. Here are a few pictures on the raft. In the middle of the raft, the floor was made out of mesh and made a little pool for kids!

Emerson and Uncle Richard were jumping into the lake from the float. Emerson would slide off the back into the water.

Saturday night, Mike, Richard, Chandler (a family friend) and I went to see Bourne Ultimatum. What a movie! I was on the edge of my seat for most of it, wondering what was going to happen next.

Sunday, Richard went to church with us. Emerson got a little upset in Nursery and Uncle Richard said he would go in there with him for the last class. I guess during the lesson, the teacher asked Emerson if his Uncle Richard was a good example to him...and this was Emerson's response, "Actually, sometimes!" I don't know where these kids learn these sayings!!!

Children are such wonderful blessings! One minute they are driving you crazy and the next minute they are doing something so funny and cute!!!

Hey I hope Jakob's feeling better now. That's sooooo sad to hear. How are you? Its still warm enough in Indiana to be out on the lake? Utah is definently cooling down. I'm sure Richard enjoyed the break!
